The Greensense team are delighted to be a part of the recently opened Central Institute of Technology ‘Greenskills Training Centre’ project. The training centre, located in East Perth in Western Australia, houses courses relating to the environment and sustainability, and is the first building of its type in the state to achieve a 6 Star Green Star rating. More on that here.
The building incorporates a range of innovative ESD elements, including rooftop and facade solar PV panels to offset 100% of the building’s annual energy use, blackwater treatment plant, rainwater harvesting and underfloor displacement aircon and heat recovery system.
To help communicate the buildings cutting edge performance to visitors, Greensense Posterboard was selected to deliver the occupant engagement solution, integrating with the BMS platform to provide real-time insights into how all those cool ESD features are working together. As students begin the new term they not only have a great new space to study in, but a building that can participate directly in the learning process. We love it!
